urban airship

liquid agency brought me on board to lead art direction and design for the rebranding of urban airship, a portland-based technology company that is the industry leader in mobile push marketing. with the 6-year-old brand, the challenge was how to balance their youthful startup enthusiasm with the stature and the confidence of an expert coach and guide to the space. we wanted to project the client as innovative and pushing boundaries, yet proven and mature; as people who marketers, developers, and inventors of all kinds and stages can trust to build their own brand loyalty and deliver moments that matter. we created an entirely new visual identity system: logo, color palette, photo and illustration style, typography, iconography, as well as a new website look & feel, including atomic elements and editorial styles for other collateral.
